What do Tom Brady, Joe Montana, THE GREAT Troy Aikman, Lebron James, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird have in common? No 3 Peats. So if those greats couldn't pull off the feat, what makes Team Davenport think they can do it in the, arguably, much more competitive Lake Kiowa Thursday Night Men's League? Vegas likes their chances having team Davenport the odds on favorite for the 2023 title at +150, followed by Team Culbertson at +750 and Team Saller at +900. When asked about the challenge Team Davenport, on the condition of anonymity, said:
Josh Biffle - "Gosh, we just have such great chemistry. We really lift each other up, ya know? Getting to play with my brother has been great, but after getting to know these other guys over last 2 years it's almost like we're all brothers. There were some jokes going on in the offseason about trading me, but that's just the teams way of saying they love me. I just don't see any way we don't 3 Peat.
Jack Biffle - "The only thing standing between us and a 3 Peat is Josh"
MD - "I only need three things for a 3 Peat; Coors Lights, Marlboro Lights, and the Good Biffle."
KC - "The Field is Fucked...if we didn't have Josh"
EC - "I'm just here to have a good time and now this asswipe Josh can't even keep his status as the D player. I didn't sign up for this to be depended on as the D player"
For the first time in LKTNML's storied history the night ended in a 3 way tie. So a 3 way tie with all the pressure on the D player how does a league pick a player of the week? Erik and Ben had many clutch moments throughout the night but nothing is more clutch than a man who has to play his own drive on the last hole, sticks the approach to 12 feet, then drains it along with another 15 footer on freshly punched greens with the entire league watching and iron covers looming in the background. The great Roy McAvoy once said "When a defining moment comes along you define the moment or the moment defines you." A defining moment was presented last Thursday and Parker Preston defined the moment. We caught up with Parker after the round:
Could you feel the pressure standing on the 9th tee?
"Sure the nerves were there, but I really dedicated myself to the game this offseason. Last season I added a wedge to my game, this year it's the driver. On Saturday nights when most people are out partying I was on the Trackman grinding over my swing path and angle of attack. It was just really nice to see that hard work payoff."
How about that approach shot?
"I was 95 yards out. Just a stock pitching wedge with a baby fade. Played perfectly with the wind. I could see the other teams buttholes puckering when the ball was halfway to the hole."
Not to downplay your night but your eagle putt from Elliot's drive wasn't your best
"Look before the putt I got Coleman over there betting with Jack, Saller pacing all over the green and Elliot trying to find the Puff Caddy team for some reason. Just left me and Zinski. He told me it was downhill, I listened and came up 15 feet short. Maybe I could have made a better effort, maybe Elliot could have hit it closer than 30 feet. Hey we're a team, it happens."
But those last 2 putts, wow!
"Hey if its E Flight, H Flight from the members tees, or LKTNML I don't give a fuck. I'm there to win, or not lose in this instance. Just tell me the format, give me my 20 pops and tell me where where to tee off."
A lot of people are commenting on how well you've been playing lately. Do you honestly feel good about 20 pops?
Someone with a 20 handicap is one of four people. The first is someone who is new to the game or rarely plays, the second is someone who plays relatively often but makes sure to record the maximum allowed score at least 7 times per round (ideally when they are out of the hole), the third is someone dealing with a disability, and the fourth is someone over 90 years of age. I'll let you decide which of the four I unapologetically identify with.
Gotta feel good to be out of iron covers
You know it does. Honestly this season is setting up perfect for us. On MD's team both Biffles are going to have infant babies at the house this summer, so their game is fucked, which puts a lot of pressure on MD/KC/EC. As for Big Phil's teams we were 3 holes behind them Thursday night and could still smell their group. Not really worried about them. Not to sound overconfident, but I really like our chances.
For the first time since the 2021 a team other than the Tripods, Team Davenport, is first in the LKTNML standings. How? Three words, Joe Fucking Moerschell.
Eddie - "Joe was fun to watch tonight. Watching him work that little bitch fade all over the golf course was impressive. He really had it going tonight.
Ben - "I knew as soon as he pulled up to the tee it was going to be a good night. He had that look in his eye. The one that says sure I'm in my 50s, and maybe I'm a little drunk at 6:00 pm on a Thursday night, but I'm ready let's go. When he has that look there is no doubt about what's to go down.
Joe about his night....
How about the Eagle putt on 6?
Have to give credit to my bro Ben. You don't have many opportunities in life to see a golf shot that gives a group of four straight dudes a hard on, but tonight was one of those nights. It was special. 270 out, little draw, and we're on the fringe, just past the pin with about a 18 footer. Because Big Phil was out it was my turn to get 2 putts at it. Eddie putted first, put it close and that really freed me up. Left the first one a little short then made a good stroke on the second.
Little Short?
Okay maybe a lot short. Like maybe went 4 feet. Collier was giving me a lot of shit after the first putt and that really fired me up. I looked at him and told him very emphatically Bro, I'm going to Cabo Saturday, I ain't wearing no fucking iron covers.
How about that approach on 7
I was just really thankful for the opportunity to reiterate to my team that I was not going to be wearing iron covers in Cabo. 93 yards out, baby fade to within a foot. You think any other team's C player has that shot? Nope.
How does it feel to be in first place?
You know bro, I was really content to just coast to a second place finish. Show up, have a good time, no iron cover or champions dinner to worry about. I really think second place is where it's at in this league. Then those asshats started making their own swag with that tripod logo on it. I get it, they're always in first and have a funny team name, but can we just scale it back a little. The first week it was balls, hats and towels with the logo, but then tonight they start passing out koozies. Hats, balls and towels are one thing. Koozies take it to a whole new level of douchebaggery. Tonight was a statement.
Is that a guarantee for the 2023 season?
Nah bro, no guarantee. If this was an individual league hell yeah it would be a guarantee, but nothing's guaranteed with our team. We still like to have a good time.
To no one's surprise the Tripods got back to winning on Shamble Toe Night, putting them in a two-way tie for the top spot in the standings. After a slow start on number one the team was inspired by Jack's par net birdie on number two and never looked back. Strong contributions coming from the whole team left no clear winner for the Player of the Week Award so an anonymous vote taken by the team:
1 vote for Josh Biffle
3 votes for Anyone But Josh Biffle
In situations like this the bylaws require the League Commissioner to make the pick. The Commissioner's pick is a man whose reputation proceeds itself. He's a man that allows the league to "eat like kings" on Champions Dinner Night. A man you turn too on Thursday nights when you run out of Coors Lights or Marlboro Lights. A man so confident that he gave himself the nickname "Captain," and requires all members of his team to refer to him as "Cap" year round. A man who has ridden the coattails of Jack Biffle to captain a back to back league champion team. That man Micah Davenport.
How was the round Cap?
Didn't really do anything special. Just let the game come to us. No Erik tonight. Josh made a grip adjustment in offseason and he's still dialing in his pull draw. KC's been making so much money selling cows that he didn't have much time to really put in any work this spring so, to put it nicely, we're still waiting on his game to come into form. Really put a lot of pressure on me and Jack. Glad we were able to answer the call.
Net Birdie for Jack on 2?
I think that's the first stroke Jack has had in men's league. The look on Jack's face on the number 2 tee box reminded me of the look of teenager knowing he's about to get his first blow job. Knowing Jack was getting a stroke that Collier and Elliot didn't get fired our team up. It was a really nice moment for our team.
How'd the team fair with the Camel Toe
I think Ben put it best last year, there's just something comforting about having a camel toe in your hands. Handling a camel toe takes a certain touch that not many can get right. Too hard or too fast might lead to a quick finish that no one really enjoys. Too soft and slow can make it hard to complete the finish. It's a pretty fine line. We didn't have it quite right on 5 and had a bogey, but then we found the perfect touch on 8 and went 2 under on the hole. It was really the difference maker tonight.
How do you feel your game was tonight
Pretty good. I made a few changes to my swing in the offseason and then just recently changed irons from Titleist to Srixon. The Srixon's are all turned down 8 degrees so I was a little worried the distance control was going to take some time, but man it was a fucking laser show with those tonight.
Your team's mood was certainly better post round this week
It just feels good to get back in first where we know we belong. It's not easy to win this much and stay on top of the standings. Takes a real team effort. I've said it before, but it's worth repeating. Everyone just views our team as this badass 1-2 combo of me and Jack, but we're a team. We need those roll players. Kinda like Jordan and Pippen. They were great but where would they had been without players like Luc Longley, Will Purdue or Jud Buechler. As a team we just want everyone to know that if you want to be the best in this league you're going to have to beat the best in this league, and I think we all know who the best is. Except for next week, Jack's out, but after that it's back on.
The Puff Caddies shot 5 under and were able to withstand an impressively gutty performance from the Jackless Tripods for the win on the left handed putting Is This Good Night. Fueled by a freshly purchased twelve pack of White Claws Big Phil had the draw working off the tee. In addition to being the only league member cool enough to pull off only using 2 of the 5 buttons on a shirt (see pic) Big Phil also had his team inside 70 yards on 1, 3, 4 and 7 then damn near the top of the hill on 6 making him the easy choice for the player of the week.
How'd the driver feel tonight?
I'm not going to lie, I've been struggling with the driver lately. It's been more straight than draw. In my role as Captain I don't have the option of getting down on myself, I can only keep my head down and grind.
You must have been putting some long hours in on the range?
Nope. The only time I touch a club is on Thursday nights. The rest of the week my clubs stay in Collier's garage. I've really just been focusing on getting my White Claw ratio dialed in, and for whatever reason it all came together tonight.
How'd the left handed putting go tonight?
Man, putting left handed is uncomfortable but it really didn't phase our team. Collier made an 11 foot birdie on 1 that established our range. After that we just assumed anything inside 11 feet was good. Made for a really stress free round and our pace of play was fantastic.
After 2 years of mediocre, to put it best, play from your team what do you think has made the difference this year?
Pacing. We're all so excited for Thursday night it's hard not to show up and start going hard on the first tee. 9 holes is a marathon not a sprint. This year we've been able to wait until we get in the fairway on number 1 for the party to start. Might not sound like a lot of time, but that 5 minutes is critical to our performance. Previous years it was a shit show starting on number 4, now we can make it through number 5.
Think you can maintain that pace through the summer?
It's really a win/win for us. We keep our pace we win, no question. We start to fall into old habits we're probably going to be in iron covers but we're going to have a great fucking time. We're just so humbled to be in the position we're in right now. It's going to be a fun summer.
The Tripods won the 5 tee challenge Thursday night to regain a share of first place going into the bye week. Player of the week goes to Kyle Campbell for not only his outstanding play but for what he brings to his team, and the league, week in and week out.
How does it feel to hear your team refer to you as the "glue guy"?
It's really nice to be recognized for what I bring to the team. When it comes to team events I'm a big believer in knowing your role. Everyone on our team does a great job of knowing their role and playing to it. There's Cap who leads us every week and always delivers in the clutch. There's Jack, definition of an A player, good at everything and someone we can always count on to get us out of a bind. Erik brings a calm to the group and always has 2 or 3 holes every Thursday night that end up being the difference maker. And Josh plays on our team too. We know our roles, stay in our lane and it shows year in and year out.
What did you think of the silver tees?
Glad you asked. I typically play the green tees and I would say I'm average to below average, and I'm comfortable with that. You move me up to the silvers and all the sudden I'm on a different level. I'd compare it to a high school locker room in culturally diverse East Texas vs. all white Colorado. In one locker room I'm gonna look out of place, you might say on the small side. In the other I might as well have the biggest dick in the world. Basically the same thing going from the green tees to the silvers. Life is all about who and what you surround yourself with.
Any one hole stick out?
Number 4 was the field fucker. Even teeing off from the other side of the water I was still getting a stroke. Jack lined me up on the tee box and I hit a nice little baby draw ended up just left of the green. Then Jack lined me up on my chip shot where I hit it to 5 feet. Then Jack lines up my putt and I gotta tell you there's really not a lot of things in this life that make me feel more confident than standing over a putt and hearing Jack say "right there brotha, 95%." It's almost like being back in the all white Colorado locker room. 3 net 2 and we played that hole in 6 under. Really the difference maker tonight.
How'd the rest of the team play tonight?
Man, with the exception of Josh I'm not sure we could have played much better. We're really rounding into form going into the meat of the season.
17 under is impressive. What do you attribute that to?
We've made this league our bitch for the last 2 years. It's frankly getting a little boring. We got together as a team and decided to hold back the first few weeks and let the other guys feel like they have a chance this year. You know, make them think the the single matches are going to come into play this year. One team started talking a little about how this was their year and we just wanted to make a statement tonight. Statement made....NEXT!
Tripods shot 7 under on one club night to win the week by 1 stroke over the Puff Caddies. Josh Biffle's solo birdie on 5 was the difference maker making him player of the week. We caught up with Josh after the round:
You've taken a lot of shit from your team over the last year, does tonight bring you any vindication?
I put in a lot of work in the offseason. Did a lot of speed training, changed my a grip, and really focused on dialing in my wedges. Rome wasn't built in a day and my golf game isn't going to be either. I would assume that being a two year veteran coming into the season would provide a little grace while I work through a few things. Guess that's what I get for assuming. I wouldn't say tonight was vindication, but rather a fuck you to my team.
Sounds like some internal conflict on a team that prides itself on team camaraderie.
When Cap talks about camaraderie what he really means is him, Jack and KC get along really well and me and Erik are just there to fill out the rest of the team. Probably doesn't bother Erik as much as it does me but I just don't get those guys. I mean congrats Jack on the being the best player in a league of a bunch of scrubs (excluding Elliot). Micah, maybe work on building up all members of the team, or just your general golf game, instead of buying cool shit. KC, before talking shit about me try and contribute more than 3 times a year, you're not there just to be funny.
Didn't mean to touch a nerve.
Sorry, it's just kind of been building. I enjoy winning but this season has been draining. Part of me wishes they would have traded me to Big Phil's team. Their team looked so happy on Eddie's 6 seater last week. They didn't care if they were 10 under or 10 over. You give those guys some beer, a bottle of liquor and something to smoke and they're good. Hell they're probably doing coke on the 3, 6 and 9 tee boxes. They don't even need golf clubs. They just enjoy being together and that's what this league is about.
Changing the subject, what club did you go with tonight?
I really wanted to show off my work ethic from the offseason and be the wedge guy tonight, but Cap wanted to be the wedge guy, so I went with my next choice which was 8 iron. Worked out because it's really the most versatile club in my bag. I can swing it easy to 125 or skull fuck it to 210, really nothing I can't do with it. I've often thought about ditching the putter for a 9 wood and just putting with the 8, after tonight I think I will.
How about number 5?
It was playing in between the easy swing and the skull fuck, but that's when you have to commit to the shot and let muscle memory take over. Strengthened the grip, closed the face, aim way right and swing way over the top. Nice big swinging snap hook to 2 feet for an easy birdie. It was really an easy hole, I kind felt like if we didn't make a birdie we were going to be giving one back to the field. I was surprised when we were they only ones who birdied the hole.
2 wins in a row has to help the team chemistry
Our situation reminds of the early 90's Cowboys. We had a good two year run, but when you have that kind of success egos come into play. Everyone starts to think they're the reason we've done what we have. Sure, we're going to win this year, and that's not saying much in this league, but the joy just isn't there. Probably best that the league is blowing up the teams next season. It's been a good run.
Team Saller got their first outright victory of the season on "Nothing more than a 4 iron" night. The team made the most out of their one stroke on the field to shoot a net 7 under to beat the Tripods by a stroke. Coleman hammered home the birdie putt on number 9 to cap off the night, which is usually enough to get the player of the week nod, but the team dedicated their win to Matt Saller, making him the second person in league history to earn player of the week by not showing up.
You have to be proud of your team tonight?
We won? No shit, I forgot there was league play tonight.
They did and played great.
Man, that's awesome to hear. I was really worried about them without me. Any idea how they rotated the extra shots? Typically I'm the guy that gets the extra shot on the rotation because I can handle the pressure a little better than Elliot. Kind of surprised they were able to pull it off without me.
How do you feel missing two weeks in a row?
Look it's not ideal for a captain to miss 2 straight weeks, but things happen. I didn't really have any control over this week. Family comes first ya know.
What about last week?
All I can say is my pullout game isn't as strong as I once claimed.
Is that something you've been working to correct?
Bro, I got snipped a few weeks ago. Same doctor a lot of guys in the league have used. I think that doctor has handled 25% of the dicks in our league.
You're still inside the dreaded six week post baby window aren't you?
Bro, I knocked out the 20 ejaculations in a couple days so I've been in the clear for a while, but this has been brutal. It's like opening up a new toy on Christmas morning that you've been looking forward to all year but then you just have to look at it and not play with it. Just a few more weeks. Really wished I would have asked the doctor for that extra stitch in the delivery room.
Congrats on the baby. What do you think has been holding your team back this season.
I've played great, Elliot is Elliot, Zinski is coming into his summer form, and I never thought I'd say this but I'm not sure how bad we'd be without Parker. So after thinking through it I think Coleman has been holding us back this year.
Coleman did make a clutch putt tonight. Does tonight make you think your team can get on a roll?
Hey man, I'm getting a call. I'll call you right back.
Writers note: Matt forgot to call back.....
The Puff Caddies played their collective nuts off Thursday night to shoot 21 under in the elimination scramble format. While all 5 players did things worthy of the player of the week award Collier's eagle on 1, the green driving bomb on 4 and clutch birdie putt on 5 makes him this week's player of the week. We caught up with CC after the round.
Eagle on 1?
Well, Big Phil hit an absolute piss missile off the tee. Back pin so we were 40 yards out, which might be my absolute favorite distance. Little concerned about the punched greens but a perfectly struck golf ball isn't affected by the wind or punched greens. Landed the ball right where I wanted to and the ball went straight to the hole, really not a big deal anyone could have done it. Really set the tone for our team.
How about the drive on 4?
I really need to thank my teammates for that one. Everyone of them hit a really good ball. Free'd me up to unload on that ball and everyone birdied from there. Net eagle, gross birdie, next hole. Just kinda how our night went.
Did anything go wrong for ya'll tonight?
You hate to nitpick on nights like tonight, but ya Joe left a few out there. Everyone else was damn near flawless.
What's changed with your team this year?
I think we're more comfortable with each other. We know each other's game. We know Ben is going to hit some bombs down the fairway and some bombs 3 streets over. Eddie's always going to get us something in play, and when he doesn't he just lights up and he's right back to his consistent self. Joe's going to hit some clutch approach shots and putts, talk shit about my putting, and then hit some of the worst golf shots you've ever seen. Phillip's going to come in not having touched a club in a week, hit the piss missiles on 1-3, the duck hooks on 4-6, and back to the piss missiles on 7-9. We know our strengths and weaknesses. We play to them and pick each other up. Great group.
Changing subjects for a minute...Between being the financial leader of numerous entities, being a great dad and outstanding husband, staying in peak physical shape, continually improving your golf game and keeping an impeccable lawn how do you find the time to run a superior golf league?
You know, the way you asked that means a lot. I'm just so blessed to be in the position I'm in and LKTNML is my way of giving back to the community. The leagues mission has always been too create a place hard working men can get away for a few hours and have a great time and I think we've done a pretty good job of creating that. There's a lot of blood, sweat and tears that have been poured into the league so it's really nice to see the fruits of the labor.
Some people think that Thursday night's in this league just "happen," but they don't understand the work that goes behind the scenes. The work I do is comparable to Van Gogh or Bruce Lee, I'm not sure my body of work is really going to get appreciated until I'm gone. Not that I do it for the accolades or anything like that.
Your team is 1 point out of first. By far the best position you've ever been in mid season. Can you keep it up?
It's going to take some work but I think we can. Our team is really coming into form. I think as a group we've missed 4 nights total. Hell, MD and Saller have each missed that many on their own. Just tells us the MD's drive isn't there after the last 2 years and Saller has already given up on the season. We're a committed group. I like our chances.
Big Phil shot an impressive gross 3 under, net 6 under, on Three Club Challenge night to lead to Puff Caddies to an impressive 13 under. The win puts the Puff Caddies 1 point ahead of the Tripods in the over all standings. It takes an exceptional performance for a player to be named player of the week twice in a season. Shooting 3 under checks that box making Big Phil our player of the week. We caught up with Big Phil after the round:
3 under is impressive
It is, but 13 under as a team is probably more impressive. Ben had some sort of sex swing incident, he didn't go into much detail, that strained something in his rib cage. He was hurting but man he gutted it out and really stepped up when we needed him too. Joe bogied the first 4 holes and then played even the rest of the way. Eddie and Collier came up huge on 6 and 9. So ya I played pretty damn good but Big Phil is only one man.
Did you just go third person?
You shoot 3 under with 3 clubs you do whatever the fuck you want to.
Fair point...1 birdie on 3 club challenge night is impressive by itself, but you had 3. Must of felt good.
Man it did. Drained a 25 footer on 1 with my driver. Hit 2 piss missiles on 6, one off the deck, and then chipped in on 9. You almost always leave the course thinking of strokes you left out there, but I'm not sure I left anything out there tonight.
Chip in birdie on 9, you didn't hit the green?
Number 9 has been a pain in our ass all season. We'll play well the whole round and then on 9 it turns into a shit show with the Tripods on the back of the green watching the whole thing. It's like when you're about to touch your first boob but then all your friends show up to watch and you get scared and bitch out. We get to 9 tonight and the Tripods were on the back of the green but you could tell they didn't have a good night. I blow it in the water to the right, drop and chip in for birdie. Eddie hits his second shot long leaves the comeback a little short but still drains a 20 footer with his driver for par net birdie. Then Collier caps off the night with 6 foot birdie putt with his wedge. We had no idea where we stood but the look on their faces when Collier's putt fell told us all we needed to know.
Think your team can keep it going?
I think so. We've had some missteps along the way, but we've learned from them and gotten better. Take last year's fireball night for example. Ben decided to take all 4 of his required shots on the number 1 tee. Turned out he was so fucked up by number 3 he really couldn't contribute anymore after that. We supported his thought process but it turns out that was a poor decision. We didn't judge him, we actually admired his effort, but we learned from it and moved on. A mentor of mine once told me that greatness courts failure and that's why most people, in their whole lives, never ever reach for the brass ring, never know when to dig deep and try the impossible. Other teams might not have what it takes to take 4 fireball shots on the number 1 tee, but we do and I think that is going to set us apart this season. That and Jack's pending suspension. That would be big for us.
The Puff Caddies and Tripods each shot 12 under to tie for the win on fireball night. Both teams went through 20 (approx.) fireball shots on number 9 before making eagle. With the tie the Puff Caddies remain in first place by a point.
The most anticipated night of the league season did not disappoint. Everyone came expecting a shit show but the league outdid itself and elevated the night to a full on cluster fuck. The night had everything you want to see:
Saller's team driving up to the 9 green and seeing 50+ empty fireball bottles all over the green, loud music playing, Tiz and Laurie dancing to said music, everyone else smoking a drinking with zero shits given about being on the golf course.
Big Phil and Saller wanting to whip Jacks ass for a reason they still can't quite articulate (if there's not a near altercation did fireball night even happen?)
CC trying to talk everyone down followed by Josh telling KC he better get ready to pick a side
KC throwing up on MD's new putting green he just had installed on Wednesday (see the clean up in the pic)
Eddie going home throwing up and going to bed with no clue who actually won the night
MD passing out at 10 while a pool party was getting started in his backyard
The Friday morning apology tour
Such a great night, so many heros. Elliot had a meet the teacher, a perfect excuse to miss, but still showed up on number 3. Erik taking 3 shots on 8 to make birdie. Jack and CC finally making the putt on 9. Zinsky doing the backstroke in MDs pool at midnight. Night's like this do the write up on their own and night's like this wouldn't happen without our player of the week, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky. Until next season sweet prince, and may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
The Tripods shot 10 under on club elimination night to take first place and with it a 3 point lead over the second place Puff Caddies. The Cap-less Tripods got some timely play between Josh and KC but were lead by this weeks player of the week, Jack Biffle. We caught up with Jack after the round:
Gotta feel good getting the win and being in first again
It's been a good week. Between carrying this team every week, raising 2 boys and a new baby girl, getting my standard 5 rounds in per week, having Josh on our team, building a new house and the POA suspension looming over my head it's been an emotionally draining season. Nights like these make the grind worth it.
Suspension?
I guess in our new "woke" world it's not okay to tell a LK security officer to fuck off and then threaten to whip his ass, even if it's on your own property. I mean, when did we get so soft? I went through the appropriate channels and thankfully the board saw it my way. It's nice to know there are still reasonable people in this world.
Agree. You had a nice round, but the format called for 2 scores. How did Josh and KC play?
Man, 3 people in any format is tough but those two hammed and egged it all night. It's nice to see dedication pay off. Unlike our other 2 teammates who have been mia all season. They show up one week, miss the next 3, then show up again. Makes team continuity tough, but we're working through it.
A 3 point lead, with 3 weeks left, is the largest lead any team has had this season, can the Tripods hold on?
A 3 point lead is pretty big at this point in the season. It's fun that the league is at least competitive this year. Everyone might actually play their singles match this year. It takes a special group of guys to get the lead and keep the lead, feels like the Puff Caddies aren't quite ready to take the next step. We've been here before, we know what it takes. The only thing that can hold us back is team dedication and Josh.
